Rev. Bill & Technology
Rev. Bill Marchiony has spent decades working with technology - in broadcasting, print, marketing, and software. As the Spiritual Director of New Thought Philadelphia, he’s leveraged his technical expertise to make his Community run smoothly, with lots of automated processes and interconnected systems that make ongoing operations as easy as possible. Responding to the pandemic, he devised ways to go online, and more recently created techniques to move into hybrid programs to support people in the room, and across the country.
Rev. Bill is available to support other ministries and ministers who are feeling overwhelmed by the complexity of our networked world. He offers a program to provide one-time or ongoing technical expertise to organizations and individuals with the same sort of needs, but without his deep experience with technology.

Free initial consultation
This half-hour conversation begins in prayer (as does everything we do) and then moves quickly into an exploration of the specific needs of your organization. We’ll talk about current processes and programs, the people and resources that are already on hand, budgets, and the best-case scenarios for your technology uplift.
Intro session
Once we’ve agreed on the objectives of our program, we’ll kick off with a meeting where we’ll dig into the details of each initiative. There will be questions and answers, training activities, and so forth. By the end of the session, we’ll have a clear plan on how to move your technology to the next level, with specific action items for everyone.
Roll-out session with the leadership & tech team
For larger organizations, we begin with the intro session described above for the senior leader, which could be the Senior Minister, Executive Director, or another person your organization has designated to be the primary point of contact for our work together.
Mentoring/Tech Support Sessions (1 hour)
We’ll identify an item of pressing concern, and set aside an hour to discuss it in detail. For many topics, Rev. Bill will be able to provide immediate guidance, hands-on training, and follow-up materials to resolve the issue and get the program humming. Others may require background information and materials from you, additional research by Rev. Bill, or a more robust development or implementation plan. In any case, by the end of the session we’ll have a clear plan to move ahead.
Laser-focused Topic sessions (20 minutes)
When something comes up, you can call on Rev. Bill for a quick session to step through the issue and get back to work right away.
Custom Research projects
When you’re ready to start a new program or project, Rev. Bill will back you up by finding the relevant resources, software, and services, and crafting a plan to bring them together in a way that you and your team can run with.

Monthly “Office Hours” MasterMind group sessions with Rev. Bill
Every month, Rev. Bill holds Office Hours that are open to all Technical Support clients. It’s an informal session where we talk about what’s come up for those present, address the issues, and share our own best practices with the group.
Tech for Ministries Hybrid class (with all updates)
Rev. Bill’s class on moving weekly services or classes from fully virtual or in-person to a hybrid program that works for people who are in the room, or across the country. All modules that are added to the class are included.
Tech for Ministries Zoom Tips class (with all updates)
Rev. Bill is a master of Zoom, having used the platform for five years in his full time job at a software company before moving fully into ministry. Since March of 2020, he’s become adept at using Zoom for concerts, conferences, classes, social activities, Sunday Celebrations, workshops, and more. As features and capabilities of the platform grow, Rev. Bill creates short training modules about the changes, what they mean to the way we work with the platform, and the new opportunities they afford. All modules that are added to the class are included.
